This project highlights the kind of planning and precision that multi-story installations demand.

For this third-story condo, the homeowner selected a three-panel OXO sliding glass door, designed to maximize views and natural light while maintaining smooth, reliable operation. The challenge wasn’t the door itself — it was the logistics of getting it safely into place.

Due to the size and weight of the panels, the building’s elevator could not accommodate them. To ensure the panels were transported without damage, we coordinated a crane lift, carefully hoisting each panel up and over two balcony levels before staging and installing them on the third floor.

In addition to the door installation, we installed a door pan beneath the sliding glass door. While often overlooked, this component is critical for second-story and above applications, helping manage water intrusion and protect the structure below.

Once installed, the result was a clean, secure, and beautifully functioning sliding door system that feels effortless to use — despite the complexity behind the scenes. From planning and safety coordination to precise installation, every detail was handled to ensure long-term performance and peace of mind.
